OKFest

• My big focus has been OKFest this month as the Finns were on vacation in Finland for the month; transfer of leadership + tasks from Juha to myself + Jussi
• Finalisation of next round of Travel Bursaries and more promo about this
• Published OKF Blog Post with details about the OKFest methodology and organisers; shared it (heavily!) online!
• Liased w SamS re getting interactive schedule online
• Worked towards finalising Topic Stream sessions for the online week schedule + had meetings re individual pages for each
• Dealt with final keynotes/featured speakers and worked to finalise morning plenary schedule for festival week
• Many meetings re funding/speakers for Gender&Diversity Topic Stream; finalised sessions from TechHub, Wikipedia and RailsGirls – woot!

Local Chapters / Regional Groups

• Set up OKFN:LOCAL tools and beginning steps for the last few new regional groups in Japan, Spain – website + blog etc, further community introductions – jp.okfn.org and es.okfn.org
• Intros (and postponement of future steps until fall) for incubating groups in Albania, Nepal, Korea, Taiwan
• Finished monthly report re: Regional Groups and Chapters

OKFest

• Share Travel Bursary deadline extension (using blog post published on OKF here).
• Reminder to OKF staff that comp ticket deadline is August 10th (this week!)
• Figure out general Travel Bursary recipients with Core Organisers
• Submit Advisory report for OKFest
• Meetings with Juha re: finalising details and transferring leadership tasks about OKFest now that he’s back on the job – yay!
• Finalise flights + travel details for OKFest
